In 2016 we decided to grow sunflowers as a cover crop to protect the delicate top soil on an acre of the farm. The flowers were so beautiful, it dawned on us that they should be growing them year after year. We now include zinnias, sunflowers in the flower fields. You can cut your own flowers and design a Texas bouquet right here on the farm. Please bring your own jar or large container to take flowers home in. Also bring a good sharp pair of scissors or garden hand clippers for cutting flowers. (We have a few available if you forget that can be rented!) Please count your flowers in the field so we can check you out quickly at the register.
